St. Patrick’s Day Mini Chocolate Guinness Cupcakes

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day today, I decided to bake up some mini cupcakes made with Guinness coupled with some Bailey’s Irish Cream frosting. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I didn’t have any Bailey’s at the house so I improvised. Luckily, I did have Jameson, and it is an Irish whiskey — so I added that instead and I think it turned out pretty tasty.

The cupcakes itself aren’t overly sweet, which I love, and the frosting on the top adds a bit of kick that you’d come to see from something that has a delicious whiskey to it. I’m not much of a baker since I’m not into measurements much, but I managed to pull this off. This may give me more confidence to do more baking.

Maybe beer bread next? What type of beer works best in beer bread? Leave a comment below with your suggestions.

Brew Dog’s Sink the Bismark - World’s Strongest Beer
It’s 41% ABV! This is beer. Average beer is right around 5.5%. I’m tempted to purchase a bottle of Brew Dog’s Sink the Bismark and have a good ‘ole time. Maybe for the next round of “Beer Tastings”? Possibilities?
Who’s down to share a bottle with me? It’s a hefty £40.00 per bottle!

Beer Battleship (or how to always win at battleship)

Make a big battleship table. Use beer bottles/cans/etc as your ships. (Bonus: if you have a smoke machine, use it to create a feeling of a real battle!)
The rules of the game are simple - if you hit your opponent’s ship (beer), he has to drink it.
???
No matter if you win or lose, you always win.

(via peetypassion)

My version? Replace the beer with shots, and you have yourself a game. PARTY ON! (via sleepingchild)

I want to play this. I want to play this as soon as possible. :)

My “Too Large of an Order” Burger at The Counter
1/3 lb beef. Roasted green chilis. Honey cured bacon. Fried egg. Lettuce. Tomatoes. Caramelized onions. Jalapeno jack cheese. Roasted garlic aioli. All on a honey wheat bun. Not to mention the fried pickles, sweet potatoes fries, shoe string onion rings, and beer to go along with it. More than you can ask for lunch at The Counter before the games ahead at the TeachStreet Christmas Bonanza.
