Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics: I Want To Meet Quatchi
Just arrived in Canada, and looking forward to the crazy 2010 Vancouver Olympic games. I can’t wait. Looking forward to the speed skating, curling matches, and hockey matches (hopefully) — especially the hockey match between USA vs. Canada. That’s going to be wild! I’m going to be wearing my USA shirt proud too.
Note to self: Need to score a Quatchi beanie.

TeachStreet Q&A helped me pick my gym
I mentioned this past weekend that my New Year starts on February 1, 2010. January has been a jam packed month of craziness, now I’m able to settle down and unwind. The first step for me now was to pick a gym and I used TeachStreet Q&A (just launched a couple weeks ago in beta) to help me with my decision.
As a student, you might be interested in taking yoga lessons — but you don’t know what type of yoga you’d want to enroll in (bikram, vinyasa, etc.). Instead of just asking one yoga teacher for advice, asking a question notifies our yoga teachers, opted in to the program, to answer. This allows you to get different opinions from real experts in the subject area, which is great!
A week ago, I was looking for a gym and I had specific requirements, so I asked:

Question: What should I be looking for when evaluating a new gym?

I got several different answers in a day before I closed the question. One of the teachers actually recommended the gym I joined, Rain Fitness. These were experts in “Exercise & Fitness” and all of their suggestions were helpful in making my decision.
So, if you have any questions about subjects you’re interested in learning, ask a question and get some free advice before jumping straight in. It definitely helps.

Don’t Wear the Belt - Ode to the UFC!
I was lucky enough to get this beautiful UFC Championship Belt from Frosty this Christmas and I must say, it’s pretty sweet. As you may already know, I consider myself a pretty big fight fan hence the boxing and mixed martial arts craziness. I even got the MMA Underground iPhone app (must have if you love MMA).
If you want to become the new UFC Champion, come over and challenge me on UFC Undisputed 2009 (Xbox 360) and we’ll see who the real champion is.
